EW Europe 2018: Patria revving up EW capabilities
Finnish company Patria is probably best known for its work making highly-protected armoured vehicles, but it also has another lesser known specialisation in its repertoire; electronic warfare.
For over a decade, the company has developed the Advanced Real-Time Intelligence System (ARIS) for electronic intelligence (ELINT), which can provide real-time monitoring and analysis of signals being emitted from potentially hostile sensor systems.
The first serial deliveries of ARIS began in 2010 and the product is now on its third-generation with the advent of newer field-programmable gate array (FPGA) processors, according to Tuomas Halonen from Patria’s Systems business unit, which is responsible
