Australia is looking to improve its presence in space with a focus on communications and creating a dedicated segment of its defence forces committed to the domain.
DRS Technologies and Rada Electronic Industries have signed a strategic agreement to bring the company's Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radar to North America.
The deal was announced on 31 March and will see DRS manufacture, market, sell and support Rada's tactical AESA radars under its tactical radar portfolio in the North American market.
Joseph Matteoni, vice president and general manager, DRS Sustainment Systems, said: 'We are excited to be able to offer our customer Rada's proven technology that offers enhanced hostile-fire protection for our troops.'
