Babcock nears first customer for Nomad AI translation tool

The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) is engaging with industry as it prepares for an on-orbit demonstration of its ‘System F6’ satellite cluster concept.
A special notice and a draft Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) were released by DARPA on 19 April, stating that the agency intends to fund the programme, which aims to develop ‘satellite buses’ and will culminate in a six month demonstration mission in early to mid 2015 using four ‘cost-effective spacecraft’.
The agency is due to provide information on 3 May regarding the technology required for the F6 on-orbit demonstration testbed.
