Cubic completes GATR acquisition
Cubic has completed its acquisition of GATR Technologies after receiving the final US regulatory approval for the purchase, it announced on 2 February.
Cubic acquired GATR Technologies, a US-based manufacturer of next-generation deployable satellite communication terminal solutions, for $232.5 million. Cubic will absorb GATR Technologies into its Cubic Global Defense business unit. The acquisition expands Cubic’s footprint in the Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) space.
Bradley Feldmann, president and chief executive officer, Cubic, said: ‘As a proven leader in the expeditionary satellite communications industry, GATR Technologies will offer our customers an even broader offering of key communication solutions to the Department of Defense, intelligence community and commercial customers.’
Cubic is a US-based company that designs and supplies products, systems and services to the global secure communications, defence training and transportation markets. The company has two main business units - Cubic Transportation Systems and Cubic Global Defense.
