Brazilian Air Force purchases Becker Avionics GK415-10 VHF-AM Air Band Base Station
Becker Avionics announces the sale of 20 GK415-10 VHF-AM Air-Band Base Stations to the Brazilian Air Force. The Brazilian Air Force will utilize the Becker Avionics GK415 high performance VHF-AM ground stations for mobile or stationary use in support of their airborne operation. With more than 6.000 units sold over the last 20 years, the GK415 is the trustworthy companion for thousands of civilian and military Air Traffic Controllers and Pilots.
The Becker Avionics GK415 is a high performance VHF-AM ground station containing an AR4201 for mobile or stationary use; for example, at airfields or on aircraft as emergency equipment. The GK415 is highly suitable where space is limited, weight is a problem and the freedom of movement is required. It is ideal for mobile and fixed operations on airfields or landing strips. It can also be used in hot air balloons, for ferrying aircraft or recovery of gliders.
The well designed carrying case is made of high thermal resistant and shockproof material. The GK415 offers 760 channels, 99 of them are easily programmable, with scan function; the output power is 7-10 watts. The Becker Avionics GK415 has panel-lighting and automatic test-routine as standard functions. The large, clear and dazzle-free LC display shows the active frequency and either the standby frequency, memory channel, outside-temperature or supply-voltage.
The station is available with a dry-lead-acid battery (12 V 2.2 Ah), which can be easily charged via a socket located on the front panel, and provides an operating time between 15 and 28 hours. The basic equipment includes: microphone, dry- lead-acid battery, charging device, antenna, carrying belt, handle and carrying bag and also a vehicle mounting device. This means that the unit is complete and operational as soon as it is delivered.
