BAE Systems to continue AC-C2CS support
BAE Systems has received a contract from the Australian government to continue supporting Australian Defence Force (ADF) military air operations for the next four years. The company announced the contract on 1 September.
The contract, valued at $9 million, will see the company provide mission system support services for ADF military operations through the Air Component – Command and Control Capability System (AC-C2CS).
The AC-C2CS provides a core element of the command and control, planning and support of ADF aviation operations. Support services cover sustainment and support of the system and the provision of on-site support to users at key locations, including Headquarters Air Command, RAAF base Glenbrook, NSW; and Headquarters Joint Operations Centre in Bungendore, ACT.
Chris Keane, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance general manager, BAE Systems Australia, said: ‘The AC-C2CS supports the planning, preparation, execution and reporting of military air operations. This system plays a critical role in facilitating continuous military operations, supporting ADF air operations 24 hours a day every day of the year.
‘We are delighted to secure the new four-year contract, with options for a further two two-year extensions, and continue our successful association with the ADF.’
