World Defense Show 2026: Northrop Grumman to present improved C2 management system
The Northrop Grumman Integrated Battle Command System is in service with Poland and the US Army with another 20 countries believed to have expressed an interest.
Raytheon is working with the US Navy (USN) and Australia to develop a new jamming pod for the E/A-18G Growler that will work in the mid-band frequency. Australia and the US have been working cooperatively on this Next Generation Jammer (NGJ), which carries the nomenclature AN/ALQ-249, since an MoU was signed in late 2017.
The NGJ will replace the AN/ALQ-99 (dating from the Vietnam War era) currently fitted on Australian and USN Growler electronic attack aircraft. In 2016 the USN awarded Raytheon a $1 billion engineering and manufacturing development (EMD) contract.
