Plan Jericho, an effort by the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) to bring down walls between users and operators and create a fifth-generation fighting force, was a key feature of the Avalon Air Show.

Plan Jericho was launched two years ago to make the most of mature in-service equipment such as Wedgetail and Super Hornet aircraft, as well as pending equipment such as EA-18G Growler, P-8A Poseidon and F-35A Lightning II aircraft and unmanned platforms like Triton and an improved JORN over-the-horizon radar. As well, the plan hopes to include naval and army platforms, and incorporate new lower-level systems.
