AUSA 2011: GD300 targets Joint Battle Command requirement
General Dynamics C4 Systems (GDC4S) is ‘very confident’ in its GD300 offering for the Joint Battle Command programme as it awaits the results of evaluation from the US Army, company officials have said.
The GD300 ruggedised computer is derived from the company’s offerings for the Nett Warrior programme, and is based on feedback from Iraq and Afghanistan, Gary Eppley, Warrior Systems Project Manager for GDC4S told Shephard at an AUSA pre-briefing on 3 October.
‘We used our experience to help drive and ensure that it had the requirements found in a handheld smartphone device,’ he said.
