The US Air Force Research Laboratory has selected InfoScitex Corporation to conduct R&D into ‘transformative aerospace capabilities and multi-domain operations [MDO]’, the DoD announced on 14 May.
Work on two IDIQ contracts, worth a maximum of $243.05 million and awarded after a competitive process, includes modelling, simulation, and analysis.
The first contract involves Aerospace Systems Technology Research and Assessment (ASTRA) Aerospace Technology Development and Testing effort to research, develop and demonstrate MDO and ‘transformative aerospace capabilities’, the DoD noted.
The other contract is for ASTRA Multi-Domain Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis (MDMSA), focusing on the development of modelling, simulation and analysis tools for MDO analysis.
There are two initial task orders with the MDMSA contract: one for advanced high-speed operations and analysis research, and the other for multi-domain technology simulation-based engineering.
InfoScitex will execute both contracts by 1 May 2028.
