BAE Systems eyes artillery, radar and ship opportunities in Asia
BAE Systems’ new Asia managing director, Natasha Pheiffer, is looking to deepen partnerships and provide Asian countries with indigenous capabilities in a region with multitudinous requirements. She was appointed the region’s head in November, and also took on the Northeast Asia portfolio in April.
Speaking to Shephard, she said partnership with local industry has been a key factor of the company’s success in the region.
For example, in Malaysia the Hawk 108/208 programme is in its 25th year and, moving ahead, it is looking to pitch its Commander SL tactical long-range radar in response to Malaysia’s air defence radar
