SAIC completes JAF C4I contract
Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) has announced that it has successfully completed its contract to provide command, control, communications, computers, and intelligence (C4I) support to the Jordan Armed Forces (JAF) Joint Special Operations Command (JSOCOM). The work involved the designing and equipping of a new command and control (C2) centre, as well as C4I system upgrades for JAF JSOCOM.
The two year contract has introduced upgrades that have streamlined JSOCOM's ability to control and communicate with military assets during field operations. The C2 centre will be a central location for JAF JSOCOM command officers to meet and evaluate real-time events.
The official opening ceremony of the centre took place on 8 March 2012, and was attended by His Majesty King Abdullah II Bin Al-Hussein.
