AUSA 2015: US Army to evolve MUM-T

The speed at which the US Army has had to integrate the Shadow UAS into combat aviation brigades following the aviation restructure initiative (ARI) is forcing the service to refine the organisation, training and doctrine of manned-unmanned teaming (MUM-T).

The ARI calls for the Shadow to be teamed with Apache attack helicopters in order to mitigate the loss of its armed scout capability with the divestment of the OH-58D Kiowa Warrior.
