US DoD V-22 sim upgrade plans
The US DoD’s Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division has placed a $34.9 million order for the upgrade of its CV-22 and MV-22 synthetic training devices (STD). Funding will come from US Navy, US Air Force and US Special Operations Command budgets.
The order comprises software and hardware upgrades for 28 flight training devices necessary to integrate aircraft software version B 6-01/C 4.01 into 23 US Marine Corps MV-22 training devices and software version 20.4.01/10.6.01 into nine US Air Force CV-22 (pictured) training devices.
