Cubic tailors mortar simulator for the US Army
The company’s mortar trainer received improvements based on soldier’s feedback.
A Lockheed Martin-led team has been awarded a seven year, $3.53 billion contract to support the 300,000 fielded Training Aids, Devices, Simulators and Simulations (TADSS), including live-fire ranges and instrumentation systems.
The award comes as part of a follow-on contract to the Warfighter Focus project which saw the Raytheon-led Warfighter Training Alliance (WTA) provide behind the scenes life-cycle training support for the Army’s live, virtual and constructive training systems. This contract was awarded in 2007 by the the US Army with a value of $11.2 billion.
