Cubic tailors mortar simulator for the US Army

The Spanish Army is seeking ways to improve the training of its personnel in command posts, after MASA Group was awarded a contract to provide its Sword software to simulate combat and combat support actions.
The software test phase of the contract will begin on 1 May.
An army spokesperson told Shephard that Sword was chosen to meet multiple requirements. The army needs simulation software that provides more realistic mapping, the possibility of modelling more types of action, an AI engine and interoperability protocols between simulators and information systems.
