Cubic tailors mortar simulator for the US Army
The company’s mortar trainer received improvements based on soldier’s feedback.
The US Army is placing increased emphasis on low-level training, according to Chief of Staff GEN James McConville. Speaking at the AUSA Global Force Next event on 16-18 March, McConville said that while‘large-scale combat training centre exercises are the pinnacle of training', squads, platoons and companies only gain benefit from these exercises if they are properly prepared.
‘When the Army trains, we must start by building a solid foundation at the lowest level,’ said McConville. ‘The foundation of readiness is the individual soldier in the small unit from the team and squad levels up to the platoon and company levels.
