RAF expects new Typhoon sims
The RAF is understood to be close to signing a deal with BAE Systems for deployment of a number of new Eurofighter Typhoon simulators at the aircraft’s two UK main operating bases.
It is no secret that the RAF has experienced issues with the synthetic training equipment supplied with the Eurofighter Typhoon. The devices were part of the Aircrew Synthetic Training Aids (ASTA) programme that was overseen by Eurofighter Simulation Systems (ESS).
