Il-76 simulator exemplifies IRIAF self-sufficiency
Iran claims to have made major progress in indigenous development of full flight simulator (FFS) systems, as it attempts to enhance its technological self-sufficiency in the face of stringent Western sanctions.
Speaking at the ceremony to unveil an Ilyushin Il-76 FFS on 6 July, Deputy Chief Commander of the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Brig Gen Mohammad Hossein Dadras, welcomed the delivery of the device and highlighted the ‘commitment and expertise’ of the Islamic Republic of Iran Air Force (IRIAF).
