CAE touted to provide training services for RAF
According to a CAE internal HR job bulletin, the company has ‘been down-selected by Boeing Defence UK Limited for the P-8A training service support contract that will run initially for [five] years. The core requirement of this contract is for the provision of P-8A Instructor and Console Operator Services'.
Shephard Defence Insight shows a total of nine aircraft — known as the Poseidon MRA1 in RAF service — were ordered from Boeing. Four of these aircraft have already been delivered to RAF Lossiemouth, Scotland.
When the fleet is fully operational, the aircraft will be operated by 120 and 54 Squadrons.
