CAE team expands KC-135 training
The USAF has awarded Tampa-based CAE USA a contract to continue providing KC-135 Stratotanker training services.
The eight-year contract, announced on 11 January as a one-year base contract with seven additional one-year option periods, is valued at more than $275 million.
CAE USA became the prime contractor on the programme in 2010 and it has now won the competitive re-compete to allow it to continue delivering classroom and simulator training for KC-135 pilots and air refuelling boom operators.
The contract was expected to be awarded last September but due to time constraints, the USAF could not assess bids.
