Cubic tailors mortar simulator for the US Army
The company’s mortar trainer received improvements based on soldier’s feedback.
Projection and display specialist Barco and Taipei-based systems integrator DACOMS Technology Co. Ltd have signed a new technology partnership and business relationship, which will focus on training and simulation display solutions.
DACOMS has undertaken a number of simulation projects in the past and these include displays for a vessel bridge simulator, the T91 virtual small arms trainer and various flight simulation projects.
‘DACOMS is a prominent player in the simulation solutions industry, and highly respected for the quality and precision of their visual systems in many market segments,’ explained Dave Fluegeman, VP simulation at Barco.

The Engineering Corps has been conducting individual instruction using FLAIM Systems’ Sweeper and should start collective deployments in 2025.
The next-generation platform is motion-compatible and can be used in OTW and NVG applications.
The system can be used to prepare soldiers for both drone offensive operations and CUAS missions.
