Lockheed Martin has received a contract from the US Army to sustain over 300,000 fielded Training Aids, Devices, Simulators and Simulations (TADSS), including live-fire ranges and instrumentation systems, the company announced on 16 March.
The Army TADSS Maintenance Program (ATMP) contract is for seven years and worth $3.53 billion.
ATMP allows maintainers to use mobile devices with advanced management information technology to efficiently and effectively track and maintain a wide range of training systems. This allows the army to make informed decisions using on-demand access to accurate, complete and timely data.
Amy Gowder, general manager and VP, Lockheed Martin Training and Logistics Solutions, said: ‘Lockheed Martin is proud of the trust and confidence the army shows in us by selecting us to provide a worldwide, integrated, one-stop training systems maintenance and sustainment programme.’
Lockheed Martin will collaborate with PULAU Corporation and Cubic Global Defense on the contract.

The company will operate in two new locations in the coming years to better support US services.
This type of tool provides more realistic training easing the incorporation of new scenarios that accurately represent the threats of the battlefield.
The Engineering Corps has been conducting individual instruction using FLAIM Systems’ Sweeper and should start collective deployments in 2025.
The next-generation platform is motion-compatible and can be used in OTW and NVG applications.
The system can be used to prepare soldiers for both drone offensive operations and CUAS missions.
