Cubic tailors mortar simulator for the US Army

Latvian Armed Forces placed an order for Saab’s Carl-Gustaf Ground Combat Indoor Trainer. Deliveries of the order will take place in 2023.
Saab’s Ground Combat Indoor trainer provides the user with replica weapons, a virtual environment and a sophisticated evaluation for realistic and accurate training.
Latvian Armed Forces has been an existing user of the Carl-Gustaf system for more than two decades and placed the order for Carl-Gustaf M4 in May 2020
The order is placed within the ten-year framework agreement, signed by Saab and participating nations, which allows Latvia, Estonia and Sweden to place orders for Carl-Gustaf M4 ammunition and associated training equipment.
Åsa Thegström, head of Saab’s business unit said ‘This order will bring a highly realistic and cost-efficient virtual training solution to Latvian Armed Forces. Saab offers the complete high-technological solution, from production of the Carl-Gustaf M-4, to ammunition and a virtual training experience, which is as close as possible to using the real weapons in real scenarios’.

This type of tool provides more realistic training easing the incorporation of new scenarios that accurately represent the threats of the battlefield.
The Engineering Corps has been conducting individual instruction using FLAIM Systems’ Sweeper and should start collective deployments in 2025.
The next-generation platform is motion-compatible and can be used in OTW and NVG applications.
The system can be used to prepare soldiers for both drone offensive operations and CUAS missions.
