FlightSafety on a roll with heli FTD orders
Following on from the award of the C-17 Aircrew Training System contract in support of the US Air Force Air Mobility Command and success in the TH-57 Aircrew Training Services programme for the US Navy, FlightSafety International has secured a further major simulation contract.
The company has been awarded a $40.73 million firm-fixed-priced contract to provide one AH-1Z Viper and one UH-1Y Venom flight training device (FTD) by the Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division based in Orlando, Florida.
Three competitors bid on the requirement which also includes a technical refresh for in-service AH-1Z and UH-1Y training equipment. The
