Cubic tailors mortar simulator for the US Army
The company’s mortar trainer received improvements based on soldier’s feedback.
ESG Elektroniksystem- und Logistik-GmbH (ESG) officially opened its new Cyber Simulation and Training Centre (CSTC) in Munich on 1 January.
The company had been previously conducting cyber security training since July of last year at its headquarters in Fürstenfeldbruck, to provide cyber defence training services for customers in the defence, automotive, energy, financial, chemical, public and engineering sectors.
ESG said that its ‘sophisticated “cyber range” brings together the company's extensive IT, simulation and training expertise’ with the Tame Range simulation software from the Israeli company, AVNET Cyber Security, to provide a range of cyber defence training and testing services.

The company will operate in two new locations in the coming years to better support US services.
This type of tool provides more realistic training easing the incorporation of new scenarios that accurately represent the threats of the battlefield.
The Engineering Corps has been conducting individual instruction using FLAIM Systems’ Sweeper and should start collective deployments in 2025.
The next-generation platform is motion-compatible and can be used in OTW and NVG applications.
The system can be used to prepare soldiers for both drone offensive operations and CUAS missions.
