CAS closes in on UK augmented success
Close Air Solutions (CAS), in partnership with Cursive Simulation, has submitted a second bid as part of the UK’s defence growth partnership (DGP) innovation challenge and hopes to further explore the potentials of augmented reality for military training.
The companies are working on integrated augmented reality into Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC) training with use of its Synthetic Wrap Augmented Reality Virtual Environment Synchronised (SWAVES).
The two companies submitted a bid for phase two of the programme on 31 March following a successful proof of concept demonstration carried out at Salisbury Plain on 16 March as part of phase one. The
