DiSTI Corporation has expanded its software VAR contract portfolio to include Bohemia Interactive Simulations (BISim) under an agreement announced on 13 January.
Under the agreement Bohemia will resell DiSTI Corporation’s GL Studio as an integrated Human Machine Interface (HMI) tool for its VBS4 virtual desktop trainer and simulation host.
VBS4 provides a comprehensive virtual desktop training environment with whole-earth rendering for tactical training, experimentation and mission rehearsal. The software performs as a simulation host for any image generator and offers a massive step-change in modularity, openness and ease-of-use.
Oli Arup, senior VP of product management, BISim, said: ‘DiSTI is highly regarded as a world leader in simulated instrumentation, and we’re pleased to be able to offer sample instruments to customers in future versions of VBS4 as well as a route for customers to add highly detailed instrumentation.’

The company will operate in two new locations in the coming years to better support US services.
This type of tool provides more realistic training easing the incorporation of new scenarios that accurately represent the threats of the battlefield.
The Engineering Corps has been conducting individual instruction using FLAIM Systems’ Sweeper and should start collective deployments in 2025.
The next-generation platform is motion-compatible and can be used in OTW and NVG applications.
The system can be used to prepare soldiers for both drone offensive operations and CUAS missions.
