Avalon 2019: ADF pushes simulation
The Australian Defence Force (ADF) ‘needs to improve how simulation is perceived’ according to the keynote speaker at the Aerospace Simulation Conference during the Avalon Australian International Airshow.
Lt Col James McCrae from the Department of Defence in Canberra said that, ‘Defence is media shy but we need to get the word out, not only in programmes like STEM [Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics] but also to a wider audience.’
To this end, McCrae explained that Canberra is working on a Defence Simulation Communications Plan, ’to improve the awareness of simulation’. It is hoped that the plan will be completed
