Mirage F1 takes to the skies in Texas
Textron subsidiary, Airborne Tactical Advantage Company (ATAC), has undertaken the first flight of its Mirage F1 aircraft from the company’s Alliance Airport Adversary Center of Excellence (ACE) in Texas.
The flight of the twin-seat Mirage F1B lasted 30 minutes and according to ATAC, ‘went as planned’ and was conducted as ‘an initial acceptance flight’.
ATAC bought 63 ex-French Air Force Mirage F1/F1B aircraft along with 150 spare Atar 9K50 engines and miscellaneous spares in 2016 with deliveries commencing in June 2017. The last aircraft was delivered in April 2019.
