Russian industry is supplying marine gas turbine engines for Admiral Gorshkov-class (Project 22350) frigates, although the process has been far from smooth.
Russian MoD-owned TV channel Zvezda revealed in January that M90FR gas turbines for the third-in-class Admiral Golovko, currently under construction, were installed in December 2020.
Admiral Golovko was launched in May 2020 and is expected to be commissioned into the Russian Navy in December 2022.
This is more than two years behind schedule, due to difficulties in sourcing the gas turbines to power the vessel and teething problems at the systems integrator level.
