Russia shows T-90M, T-80BVM in action
Russian Land Forces put their new T-90M and upgraded T-80BVM MBTs through their paces at this year's Zapad military exercise, which has just concluded.
Both tanks were shown performing combat tasks, in front of Russian president Vladimir Putin and minister of defence Sergey Shoygu at the Lujsky shooting range near St Petersburg, in western Russia.
This is the first public showing of these tanks, which feature increased combat capability and enhanced survivability features.
In August, the Russian MoD announced that it will order an undisclosed number of new-build T-90Ms and is set to launch a comprehensive upgrade of a proportion
