US Army looks ahead to major RCV test
Robotic Combat Vehicles (RCVs) are expected to undergo a major Soldier Operational Experiment (SOE) for the US Army in June-August 2022.
RCV-Light (RCV-L) and RCV-Medium (RCV-M) vehicles will participate in the SOE 2 event at Fort Hood. The RCV programme forms part of the Next Generation Combat Vehicle (NGCV) acquisition effort.
Alfred Grein, acting director of the Ground Vehicle Systems Center (GVSC), said that SOE 2 would see troops commence soldier training on the vehicles before transitioning into situational training and live-fire training exercises.
