Patria/SIA Unitruck JV to support Latvian programmes
A new company has been established to support the readiness of the Latvian National Armed Forces (LNAF), after local company SIA Unitruck formed a JV with Patria of Finland.
The resulting SIA Defence Partnership Latvia is intended to provide an MRO capability, as well as system integration services and logistical operations.
Jukka Holkeri, president of Patria’s International Support Partnerships business unit, told Shephard that the JV offers support to various Latvian transport vehicles and weapon systems, such as the M119 SPH, the CVR(T) tracked fighting vehicle and the BV206 tracked vehicle.
