MSPO 2015: Polish Leopard to change spots
Poland’s plans to upgrade its Leopard 2A4 fleet, as the final deliveries of the Leopard 2A5 from Germany complete the Polish Army’s new MBT inventory.
Thomas Fritzsch, regional sales director at Germany’s Leopard tank manufacturer, KMW, told Shephard at the MSPO exhibition in Kielce, Poland, that an upgrade contract is expected by the end of 2015 with the upgrades completed by 2020.
This target is ‘ambitious’ Fritzsch added when considering that there are at least 128 2A4 Leopards that are expected to undergo the upgrade. There could be additional A4s that undergo the upgrade that are being delivered with
