MSPO 2015: LOTR breaks ground
Poland’s Army plans to replace its BRDM-2 4x4 amphibious vehicle with a new 6x6 wheeled light armoured reconnaissance (LOTR) vehicle.
German manufacturer Rheinmetall has teamed with Polish armaments group, Obrum (part of the Polish Armaments Group – PGZ) to build a new car, the company told Shephard at the MSPO exhibition in Kielce, Poland.
‘It is not based on Fuchs or any existing Rheinmetall vehicle, it is a completely new design,’ the spokesperson said.
