Milipol Asia 2019: SIG Sauer sees boom in business
SIG Sauer has enjoyed recent sales successes in Asia. One of its biggest contracts was for 72,400 SIG 716 7.62mm rifles for the Indian military, with this deal signed in February.
SIG Sauer provided Shephard with more information on India’s selection, noting that its rifles are customised to meet specific requirements. All rifles, for instance, will possess a bayonet and Picatinny rail to which an under-barrel grenade launcher can be affixed. That means every Indian rifle is capable of carrying a grenade launcher.
