British Army Land Rover replacement plan inches forward

The UK Ministry of Defence has proposed a selection date of May 2027 for the Land Rover replacement requirement, with deliveries expected through to 2036. Next month’s DVD exhibition will be a key shop window for bidders.
The UK Ministry of Defence has set a deadline of 1 September for companies to bid for the Light Mobility Vehicle (LMV) segment of its Land Mobility Programme (LMP) with an award date estimated before the end of May next year. Deliveries would take place over the following nine years but could be extended by a further 11 years under options.
LMV will be a wheeled utility platform designed to provide a capability currently fulfilled by legacy fleets such as Land Rover and Pinzgauer.
