MBDA explores novel tech for land domain firepower
European missile manufacturer MBDA is showcasing several new solutions at DVD 2018 geared towards future land requirements in both the UK and abroad.
The company revealed details of early concept work it is carrying out on several programmes including a nascent project known as Future Land Indirect Fires, which is studying what comes next for indirect fires especially for the British Army.
The programme currently has a ‘2030 horizon’ when the British Army’s current long-range indirect fires capability - the Guided Multiple Launch Rocket System - is expected to be retired at the end of next decade.
