Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems on 5 March won a cost-plus-fixed-fee modification to its Aegis Ashore Japan FMS contract.

Work for the contract will take place in Moorestown, New Jersey and is scheduled to be completed on 31 July 2020.

The new modification increases the value by $25.9 million, bringing the overall value of the contract to $3.21 billion.

Lockheed Martin will now provide engineering, design and support services intended to reduce risks and maintain the operational capability of Japan’s Aegis Ashore systems.

The Missile Defense Agency was responsible for overseeing the contract modification.
