LAAD 2017: Turret developments for Guarani
As Brazilian Army vehicle programmes begin to stall, there is still scope for the installation of new turrets.
On the back of a contract to build its REMAX remote turrets for Brazilian Army's Guarani 6x6 armoured vehicles, Ares, the Brazilian subsidiary of Israel's Elbit Systems is developing two new turret systems.
A spokesperson for Ares told Shephard that the company has already provided 100 REMAX turrets for Guarani but that the Brazilian Army has a requirement for a manned turret, so it has developed the REMAN.
He said that the army wanted the turret to have the same armour
