FAMOUS2 project receives €95 million to advance development of next-generation ground vehicles
The European Future Highly Mobile Augmented Armoured Systems (FAMOUS) consortium was selected on 20 June to receive around €95 million ($96.34 million) from the European Defence Fund (EDF).
The goal is to progress with the development of the next generation of ground vehicles and with the upgrade of existing land platforms.
Called FAMOUS2, this collaborative effort has a total estimated cost of around €122.5 million ($124.23 million) and involves 18 companies (see the list below) from 10 European countries (Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Latvia, Norway and Spain).
