Eurosatory: CMI bids for Challenger 2

Belgian turret manufacturer CMI Cockerill has teamed with engineering company Ricardo UK to bid for the British Army’s Challenger 2 tank life extension programme.

The companies signed an MoU today to formalise their relationship and a CMI spokesperson said that a bid will be submitted by the due date in July.

Whilst CMI will work on the turret components, Ricardo will do everything below the turret, such as the auxiliary power unit, drive line and suspension.
