AUSA 2015: Release the hounds (video)
A new vehicle has been unveiled at this year’s AUSA exhibition that is likely to compete for a lucrative contract to supply the US Army with a fleet of highly mobile, light reconnaissance vehicles (LCV).
Called Hellhound, the 13,000lb vehicle is being developed by Northrop Grumman to address the requirement for a new reconnaissance vehicle that can be loaded and air-dropped from a C-130 transport aircraft.
The US Army is also looking to acquire an ultra-light combat vehicle and a light tank known as the mobile protected firepower (MPF), increasing the capabilities of rapidly deployable forces such as the 82nd
