World Defense Show 2026: Northrop Grumman to present improved C2 management system

Two recent service announcements reflect an ongoing rebranding of cyber and information warfare activities across the US Department of Defense.
The latest announcement, made by the US Navy’s Chief of Naval Operations, ADM John Richardson on 3 June, is the immediate name change of Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command to Naval Information Warfare Systems Command.
Navy sources say that the name change reaffirms ‘the command's commitment to outpacing adversaries in the information warfare domain to enable a competitive edge in all other warfare domains.’
