US Army awards Digital Training Management System contract to nFocus software
The United States Army recently awarded the Digital Training Management System (DTMS) Enhancement contract to the General Dynamics Information Technology and nFocus Software team. The award was made under the ITES-2S, within which nFocus Software is a sub-contractor to General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT).
DTMS is a customized version of nFocus Software's Student Management Server and provides the Army with the ability to plan, resource, and manage unit and individual training at all levels. Presently, it tracks the training for over 2 million Soldiers and Department of the Army Civilian stationed all over the world. Due to this program's overwhelming success, and to meet the Army's growing needs, the GDIT and nFocus Software team was awarded the current contract to enhance the existing capabilities of DTMS.
"We're proud that we have been selected to continue our work with the US Army's Digital Training Management System," said Ananda Roberts, President of nFocus Software. "The extension of this contract enables us to further develop and refine this software in order to ensure that the needs of our Soldiers and leaders continue to be met as the operational environment further evolves."
Since 2003, nFocus Software has provided all software development and customization services for DTMS. Enhancements that will be provided under the current contract augment the usability of DTMS, consolidate other Army systems in order to decrease duplication of effort, and improve the performance of the system as the number of users continues to increase beyond the current 70,000+ level.
"Our continued work with the US Army in the critical arena of Training and Training Management is predicated upon our team's ability to recognize and understand the evolving needs of the Army and to apply sound technical solutions to those needs," Don Pruitt, Executive Vice President of nFocus Software. "We look forward to continuing our work with the Army."
