Thales launches MBITR 2 dual-channel radio
Thales has launched the second generation of its Multiband Inter/Intra Team Radio (MBITR) with a new simultaneous two-channel capability.
The MBITR 2 leverages the narrowband AN/PRC-148 with the wideband AN/PRC-154 into one system, and some 200,000 of the legacy version have been fielded to US Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) forces, among others, to date.
