Thales, CarteNav to develop new ISR solution

Thales and PAL Aerospace’s subsidiary CarteNav Solutions will collaborate on the development of a new airborne ISR solution to support counter-piracy, border disputes and migration operations.

The new ISR solution will be based on CarteNav's mission system software integrated with a set of onboard radar, EO, acoustic and EW sensors provided by Thales.

The solution will provide support to customers who operate aircraft designed for a variety of platform and mission types and require improved ISR capabilities.

The system could also provide support in the surveillance of shipping activity and the monitoring of increasing submarine fleets.
