World Defense Show 2026: Northrop Grumman to present improved C2 management system

The Danish Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organization (DALO) has signed a contract with Terma related to Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD).
The contract aims to provide DALO with study and advisory support within the IAMD and Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) domains related to the Danish government’s decision to upgrade at least one of the Iver Huitfeldt class frigates to a BMD sensor role and offer this capability to the NATO BMD system.
Terma offers its C-Flex command and control system for IAMD capability on board naval vessels, providing situational awareness for anti-air warfare and BMD simultaneously.
Thomas Blom, senior vice president, command, control and sensor systems, Terma, said: ‘Under this contract with the Danish Navy, we will leverage our extensive experience as the leading Danish company within the BMD and IAMD domains to support the Danish Navy in preparing for this capability to be added to the Iver Huitfeldt-class multi mission frigates.
‘Because they were designed to be prepared for this mission, the frigate-based BMD offering to NATO is the most affordable option with the lowest risk for a country such as Denmark, while at the same time providing the only realistic pathway to a later engagement capability.’

The plan for the new displays follows fresh investment in Kopin’s European facilities by Theon and an order for head-up displays in fielded aircraft, with funding from the US Department of Defense.
Persistent Systems received its largest ever single order for its MPU5 devices and other systems earlier this month and has already delivered the 50 units to the US Army’s 4th Infantry Division.
