TACIP takes command
Airbus Defence and Space (DS) has demonstrated the first iteration of its Tactical IP (TACIP) deployable information solution following its launch in 2015.
Current work on TACIP is part of an ongoing research and development project to create a standardised, modular solution for deployable IT and communication services.
The demonstration, held at the Airbus DS site in Newport, South Wales on 25 August, showed how the command post variant of the system would work in an operational environment, including bearer solutions and enterprise options.
